QUESTIONS
1. Given the recent Superintendent report, will enrollment and capacity be a part of the formula to determine SPLOST V projects?
There are four primary elements or data points that will be used to support the decision-making process for determining the E-SPLOST V project
list: (1) facility condition rating, (2) education adequacy rating, (3) utilization (projected enrollment divide by capacity), and (4) input received from our stakeholder engagement process.
2. Is there a presentation, website or documentation describing the process, plan, timeline, etc … for SPLOST V.
The District has developed a website to provide information on this initiative to the public. This comprehensive master planning initiative, referred to as Building S.P.A.C.E.S., is an effort to determine how, where and why future resources should be dedicated to the improvement and modernization of our buildings and infrastructure. The website for the Building S.P.A.C.E.S. Initiative can be located via the following link: http://www.dekalb.k12.ga.us/building-spaces/
3. Are we redoing all the facilities assessments? Is MGT of America going to use the same scoring rubric?
Yes, our Building S.P.A.C.E.S. Initiative incorporates two new facility assessments, building condition and educational adequacy, which will be used in conjunction with other data points to evaluate and score all schools. The criteria for the scoring rubric will be determined through the master planning process, including input received from the stakeholder engagement sessions.
