Preparatory Q&A with DeKalb Schools
Question: In accordance with policy and law stated here http://www.dekalb.k12.ga.us/registration, if a student is enrolled provisionally, after 30 days do we actively seek proof of residency documentation from those students?
Answer: (MICHAEL BELL) Per Legal Affairs: Yes, in the vast majority of cases. DCSD practice is to give the school Principal discretion in the provisional enrollment decision, and also in going past the 30 day time period in the submission of residency documentation.
