7 YEAR ENROLLMENT FORECAST – Dunwoody Elementary Schools (Nov 2019)
These projections are for the current elementary attendance zonesif no redistricting happens.
These don’t seem to take new construction into account- the new apartments going in next to Hightower will certainly add students.
I’ve added up the enrollment #’s using the 2024 forecast map. The 2024 enrollment #’s I get are DES at 1038 and AES at 1077 if we split Ash-Dun Rd down the middle (AES gets West, DES gets East, Vanderlyn’s boundary would remain the same). This seems like a good compromise……1) Immediate relief for DES, 2) Current AES and Vanderlyn stay at their respective schools 3) Enrollment #’s in 2024 are fairly level between DES and AES.
This is what the DES parent and map maker put together
