Res ipsa loquitur. Here are all the Georgia high schools ranked by their Georgia Milestone results. The ranking is the percentage of students that met proficiency in the coursework tested.
It is noteworthy that DeKalb has 3 schools in the top 30. I would also note that 2 of the 3 schools have relatively small graduating classes when compared to the high achieving schools around the state.

Thank you, Stan, for organizing and sharing the data so we can start to make sense of it all. This is a great resource!
Good for high schools, etc, but so many #’s become like the forest being hidden by the trees. What is best listing to compare for high school aggregates by County/city school districts? Also hs graduation rates by system. is it data such as used for the Columbus- Ledger series focusing on Muscogee co & Columbus metro but also with comparatives for peer groups ie Bibb, Chatham & Richmond. tnx for work.
Hey Bob,
I have the data for comparing school districts, but thus far I have only published ES & MS Milestones Results for Metro Atlanta Districts. Comparing districts by high schools would be a good one. I’ve also just been using the data for Proficient Learners and above. I would like to break down the data by the percentage of Distinguished Learners the schools are producing.
I don’t get a lot out of the 2015 Graduation Rates. They are artificially high due to the elimination of the GHSGT (Georgia High School Graduation Test). I collected graduation rate commentary and published the DeKalb HS grad rates.
I’ll start including more Muscogee, Bibb, Chatham and Richmond school district information.
