3 responses to “Superintendent Search Update

  1. One thing missing from timetable.
At what date will names of finalists be leaked to media with false rumors about the leading candidate(s) in order to promote a lesser candidate with ties to the good-old-boys network?

  2. Frustrated Dekalb Parent

Will general info be released about the results Community Liaison Group meeting today? No specifics, just hopefully that all the top candidates have no ties to DCSD?

  3. Only one in five candidates that applied has ties to DeKalb. The applicant pool is a variety of backgrounds and diverse cross sections of the country. At the State of the District, this past Tuesday, the chair thanked Mr. Thurmond for his service.
The top 25 candidates selected by PROACT will be presented to the Community Liaison group this afternoon. Their selections will be presented to the board this evening.
The confidentiality of the candidates and integrity of this process are my utmost priority. I’m working with the chair to release more information. Stay tuned.
